How many people fit into the hall? Where do the escape routes run, and how wide do they have to be? At every event with an audience, seating plan and escape routes have to match.
We calculate the escape routes and create true-to-scale seating plans for your venue. The basis is an exact floor plan. If there is none, we survey the site ourselves first.
The plans are prepared so that everyone involved understands them at a glance, from the organiser and the operator to the crew setting up the seating. With 4D-direct, the seating can be transferred 1:1 onto the floor on request.

How your plan is created
1. Basis
We review existing plans or survey the venue.
2. Calculation
We calculate the escape routes and plan the seating to suit the use and number of people.
3. Coordination
You receive clear plans for coordination with the operator and authorities. We incorporate any changes.
4. Implementation
On request, we transfer the seating 1:1 onto the floor and support the set-up.
More than counting chairs
A good seating plan combines safety with a pleasant experience for your guests. Sight lines to the stage, short distances, sufficiently wide aisles and escape routes that remain clear at all times: all of this has to fit together on site.
We plan the seating to suit the use, number of people and venue and calculate the escape routes. The basis is always an exact, true-to-scale floor plan, so different layouts can be compared quickly, for example if the number of participants changes.
During set-up, clear plans ensure that the seating is in place quickly and correctly. With 4D-direct, we transfer the seating plan 1:1 onto the floor on request. We also print large plans in large format so they can be displayed legibly on site.

Seating layouts
Seating layouts we plan
Every event needs the right seating layout. We plan all common seating layouts and calculate aisles, spacing and escape routes.
Row seating
Also known as theatre or cinema seating: rows of chairs facing the stage, for presentations, shows and galas with many guests.
Block seating
Several blocks of chairs with aisles in between, typical for large halls and congresses.
Classroom seating
Rows of tables with chairs facing the stage, for seminars, conferences and working sessions.
Banquet seating
Round or rectangular tables for galas, dinners and award ceremonies.
U-shape and boardroom seating
Tables in a U-shape or as a block for conferences and workshops.
Herringbone and special layouts
Angled rows and individual variants for special rooms and formats.
What matters is the spacing between rows, the width of aisles and escape routes and the position of emergency exits. The exact requirements depend on the Places of Assembly Ordinance of the respective federal state and on the venue. We take them into account in every seating plan and calculate the escape route width to match the number of people.

What do I need a seating plan for?

Then we assess the site regarding feasibility and compliance and plan escape routes and seating accordingly.
